The Smokies are doing their thing. No views but it's a nice break from the hot sun. Making good miles. In and out in 3 days. Shelter areas were extremely crowded. Can't wait to flip north ahead of the bubble.

Made it to Springer! Tomorrow I'll go down the approach trail and hop on a train north to start Nobo towards Katahdin! I'm a little behind on posts. Trying something a little different with this post. Going to walk through step by step(see what I did there?) a typical day for a thruhiker.

Really in the thick of the Nobo bubble now. Resupplied in Hot Springs, NC and trying to make miles! Sent home about 2lb of cold weather gear. Max Patch!

Into North Carolina and back to Tennessee. Straddling the border for awhile. The balds are beautiful.
